When is the deadline to RSVP?

Everyone has already RSVP'd for this event

How much is the tournament fee and when is it due?

The tournament fee is $500 per player ($1,000 per team) and will be due via Venmo to @Chase-Thorp. Fees will be due by June 1st, 2026

This $500 will include payouts for overall champion, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th places for one flight, a happy hour following golf on Saturday evening, and of course the exclusive Lake Cup tee gift

How much are accommodations and how will they be paid?

The following rates will include:

Accommodations for three nights on property, greens fees for rounds 1 & 3

Double Occupancy ~$575 per person.
Green fee at Lake Valley for round 2 will be $84

How many rounds will be played and where?

We will be playing three rounds of golf that will all count as tournament play.

We will play two rounds at Old Kinderhook and one round across the street at Lake Valley Golf Club

When do handicaps need to be turned into The Board?

The Board will need to collect an official handicap from each participating player no later than September 15th. Email us your name and GHIN number at contactlakecup@gmail.com

Where can we find our tee times and pairings?

Group pairings for round 1 will be made ahead of time. Please refer to https://lakecup.golf/tee-times for up to date pairings and tee times for the event.

What will happen if there is a rain out or a delay in play?

36 holes of tournament play will have to be completed by all 22 teams to determine winners. If they are not completed, each participant will receive a percentage of their entry fee monies back.

How much of a player's handicap will be used for the playing formats?

80% of each player's handicap will be used

Will we be given any mulligans?

Each player will receive one mulligan per day.

Will giving putts be allowed during tournament play?

Giving putts will be allowed at the 2026 Lake Cup at the discretion of your playing group.

What will happen in the event of a tie?

Ties will be broken in a scorecard playoff using the latest USGA method. The last 9 holes for the day will be compared. If there is still a tie, the last 6 holes will be compared, then the last 3, and then the 18th hole if needed.
